Let's start 2010 with a review of some of the gloves that I have in my collection......:
Here are the Candidates (sitting on top of my helmet collection:

From left: Motobell Glove, Spidi gauntlet, Komine Shortie and Alpinestars GP Pluss II
Alpinestars GP Plus II

The GP plus II is quite comfortable and offers quite a bit of abrasion resistance. Ventilation is adequate with the added ventilation from the knuckle protectors. Still a bit stiff as they are still brand new and haven't been quite broken in yet. Accordion leather on strategic places helps with the flexibility of the glove. The bridged fingering is supposedly to help with throttle response though i personally find it annoying. I wouldn't wear them for short, city riding though as they feel kinda bulky. Personal rating 4/5

My Spidi Gauntlets...very comfortable as they have been quite broken in. Leather is nice and pliable....hehhehehe. Good knuckle protection and strategic places have been reinforced to minimize injury in the case of an accident. I wear them even for short distance rides as they are very comfortable. Only drawback is they are starting to age though I hope they can last for a bit more...maybe time to scout for new gloves?? Personal rating 4.6/5

The Fieldsheer Komines.....OK2 jerla gloves ni. Wore these for a few times on short rides. they offer adequate protection for your knuckles with the carbon fiber bits and have reinforced palms though in the advent of a crash, i seriously doubt that you will have a lot of skin left. Personal rating: 3.6/5

Komine Shortie gloves.....these gloves are probably targeted for dirtbike/offroad users but they have served me well. not much protection but really comfy. The plus side is that they are a lot easier to dry compared to the other gloves! personal rating :3.6/5

Motobell gloves....quite ok. comfortable and quite cool to wear. less protection than a full gauntlet, the motobell only has reinforced fabric on the back of the hand but compensates by having full leather and reinforced palms. I would say these offer the comfort of my motobell n komine gloves but also offers some protection like the gauntets though not as much. Personal rating 3.9/5
